In recent years, amateur sports in Poland (especially running – seven-fold rise in popularity – and cycling), experiencing a great boom. There are also new forms of amateur involvement in sports – football, rugby, skating, triathlon. The professionally organized, regular sports activities involves huge crowds of Poles. Sport is an important part of popular culture – for some has become a fashionable way of life.

The project involves the documentation of the phenomenon of the amateur sport popularity growth in Poland.
