Graduate of ASP (Academy of Fine Arts) in Warsaw, he is a Member of ZPAF, the Visum Archiv in Hamburg, the Image Collection in Washington and the American Society of Magazine Photographers. He specialises in press photography and publishes his work in highly prestigious Polish and international magazines including Stern, Paris Match, GEO, New York Times, Time, Fortune, Vogue, Die Zeit and Elle.

He has held many individual exhibitions in the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Poland and Madagascar. He is the recipient of Polish and international photography prizes. For the last 25 years he has worked with National Geographic magazine, with whom he has published 18 photography essays. Since 1999 he has also been the main consultant of the magazine’s Polish edition. He teaches photography in Poland, the USA, Germany and Italy.
